Just say No! Thanks Nancy Regan for this timeless phrase. Hortonworks has many great things going for them; HMC 1.0 is not one of them.
It failed to add one of our data nodes to the lab cluster due to a mis-configured DSA Key. Once we fixed the key, HMC wouldn’t allow us to add the new node because it thought it already existed. 🙁
A quick edit of the addNodes.php allowed us to circumvent the duplicate node check. It’s a good thing I’m smarter than most hunting dogs… 😉
